Retired Navy officer Drake Givens is creeping his was toward his home in the mountains when he comes across a car already being covered by the quickly accumulating snow. Finding a dazed and cold woman inside the car leaves him honor bound to help her.
As they are getting to know one another, Kaylie’s ex is ready for revenge and is getting closer to finding it.

Kaylie is on the run from her abusive ex-husband. After years of torture Kaylie finally had the strength to report him to the police and put him in jail. Unfortunately, Kaylie doesn’t know who her ex really is or how dangerous he can be.
With his release from jail coming soon, Kaylie leaves Las Vegas to head for California. On her way, she runs into a horrible blizzard, which leaves her stranded on the side of a mountain.
Drake Givens is a retired Navy Officer who leaves in the Sierra Nevada mountains because of the peace and quiet. He is trying to forget his time in the war.
On his way home, he comes across a car in the ditch. He pulls Kaylie out of the wreckage and takes her to his home.
The sparks fly between them immediately. There is just something between them that neither of them can explain.
Kaylie’s ex has other plans for her unfortunately and he wants her to pay for putting him in jail.
This was a fabulous story. It had just the right amount of sexy and angst. Kaylie and Drake were perfect together.
