Saturdays at the Viper Rooms

Synopsis
“You and I know I can’t say no.” I swallow my fear and allow my eyes to fall down to his chest, I can’t bear to look at him. “And I can’t lose you.”
Joely Gilbert, one of two head Viper Girls for the club, strives to maintain a double life both full of deceit, betrayal, sex, lust, and fear. She knows the rules of the club and the way the boss works like no other, but she is the one breaking everything she knows in order to keep the new life she has. After running from her past, she’ll do anything to stay away from it. It’s what makes her perfect for the job. It’s what makes her normal.
Everyone has a story when they arrive at the doors of The Viper Rooms.
It’s this that binds clients and Viper Girls together. Each want to forget, each want something to remember, to feel, to lust over. The Viper Rooms gives the exclusive a time in their life to get the things they need from a club devoted solely to them. No strings attached, no questions asked. But what lies beneath the surface can’t always be stopped. It can’t be silenced forever.
And Joely’s one of the girls who knows that more than anyone else.
What happens when her facade starts to break? What would Joely rather give up; the man who wants to save her, but could die trying, or the life that could ultimately kill her?
Is pleasure worth the pain?

Author Bio
I used to be just another Fan fiction writer! That was until one person showed real interest in my work. And then another, and then another, until I had this whole group of people reviewing like crazy and wanting original work from me. I’d spent years writing for free online, I didn’t believe I had it in me to publish something!
But I’m glad I did!! I never imagined pushing my work and striving to reach my ultimate. I never imagined I’d be the girl who started The Viper Rooms! But who am I to deny the inspiration when it hits?
I love writing, it’s a lifeline. I love creating a world that others fall into. I love having the control to make a whole new world. It’s like a dependency, an addictive one. It’s one of the things I’m extremely proud of.
As much as I complain, I love the mini dialogues that go on in my head, the plotlines that attack me when I least expect them to. The ones that jump to life at the most inappropriate times and drive me totally crazy!!
For now I split my life between writing, dreaming, working, and volunteering with children.

Author Interview
Thank you for agreeing to take part in this interview.
Let’s start off by getting to know you. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
There’s not much to tell! I’m Kirsty (yup, just Kirsty or Kirst! Not Kirsty-Anne as everyone’s taken to calling me LOL), I live in Kent in England and work part-time while writing and volunteering with kids.
I’m just a normal 23 year old girl who is finding her feet and enjoying a little bit of what life has to offer!!
Can you tell us a little about your recent release “Saturdays at the Viper Room”?
It’s very different for me. The title came to me one day and there was this feeling in me that I had to write it and I’m so happy I did.
The story is about a twisted gentlemen’s club set in New York. The Boss is a dark character who relies on her girls to make up for her own failures – her inability to please
a man. She’s peculiar about the girls she’s lures in, but once she has them they’re hers for six years.
After they sign a contract, they must live by the boss’s six rules and be whatever a man wants them to be.
The story is set around one of the head Viper Girls – Joely. She’s the one who emulates everything the boss ever wanted, but she’s the one breaking most of the rules. She’s broken rule number one (never fall in love with a client) and her life is slowly spiraling out of control as he (her client, Jace Mason) tries to free her.
Except it’s not quite that easy!
You’ll have to read in order to find out how it ends ;)
How many books are you planning in this series?
There are a few, but, primarily, there are three. Outside of that are plans for standalone within the series, and prequels for a few of the characters. But for now there are only three main books.
What are the most important attributes to remain sane as a writer?
Patience! Oh, the patience you need when those pesky characters make a detour from the plan you’ve carefully crafted. You need a sense of readiness – you’ve got to be ready for whatever your mind’s going to concoct in order to trip you up. You’ve, also, got to love your own company! The life of a hermit goes hand in hand with being a writer and I definitely think you need to be able to fall victim to your creative nature. Know no boundaries!!
Describe in 5 words, your writing:
In five words?! Erm, let’s go with
1- Eclectic
2- Sporadic
3- Spontaneous
4- Free
5- Driven
(^ That’s harder than it should be!)
Love your Cover, Who designed it?
CoverIt Design. She’s done all of my covers and I want her to continue doing them!
If you could write with another author, who would it be and why?
I don’t think I have a particular author I’d love to co-write with. After co-writing a novel and its sequel, if the opportunity was presented I’d snatch it up! You learn so many key skills from it and it keeps you on your toes. It’s a fun process to be a part of.
What are your pet peeves?
Reviews which have no purpose! I’ve seen a lot of authors, and experienced it myself, where authors have had reviews from people who haven’t finished the book, or find the book wasn’t want THEY wanted. A book is what an author wanted, someone who doesn’t respect the words and plot a person bought to life isn’t admirable. It definitely doesn’t deserve a low rating because they didn’t finish it. You never know, the best bits could be in the bits you never reached!!
So, by default, people who don’t go into a book with an open mind. It’s not a hard thing to do, and I love that bloggers put themselves on the line book after book to read it as if it’s a brand new, never read book.
Do you have a nickname?
Not really, mostly I’m called Kirst. Nothing special there!!
If you were trapped on an island with a man, what 5 things would you take with you?
Music, sun tan lotion, a freezer stocked with ice cream (does that count as one or two?!), my laptop (Gotta write what you know LOL), and wi-fi… What can I say? I’ve become a victim of modern day technology!!
It was so nice talking to you. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to talk with me.
