This is my first book by this author and I was quite impressed.
Chris and Emily have a past, Emily is the only girl Chris has ever loved, when it was discovered his mum was tearing up his family and marrying Emily's dad, he felt his whole world was being torn apart. He turned into a manwhore, sleeping with anyone he could to try and forget the connection he had with Emily.
As the years have passed and Chris gets himself into a PR nightmare, Emily isn't given much of a choice but to help him out of his latest scandals. There relationship feels forbidden, Chris has caused Emily so much heartache over the years, but she cannot deny what she feels for him. How will here family feel if they choose to pursue their taboo relationship?
I have read many stepbrother books over the past few months, this one had such an emotional twist on it that it drew you in, you could feel the struggles Emily was facing and when you discovered the reason as to why she resented Chris so much you just needed to hug her.
Chris was arrogant but the more you get to know him, hear of his past, I was so ready to bitch slap his mother.
