This is the first part in the 'Wicked' series. Shae has the perfect life with the perfect husband Allen (apart from the wicked in-laws) they have been together since college and they are just about to start a family, when everything suddenly takes a nosedive (sorry for the pun) ! Shae's life so tragically is turned upside down.
Firstly I am a massive M S Parker fan and absolutely love her books, this one sadly took me quite sometime to get into and I didn't feel the strong connection along with that addictive edge which I normally get. I think it was maybe due the missing explosive chemistry as this is more of a suspense thriller than the usual hot and steamy reads that I have come to love from this author. Having said that, I did enjoy this book and I'm glad I kept reading as the ending has a twist that I didn't see coming, I am now looking forward to the next installment.
