Review: **** 4 Stars**** Elena has just turned 18 and strange things are starting to happen especially during her chemistry lessons, as much as she doesn't want to she asks her neighbour Derek for help.  What she doesn't expect to find is that she and Derek are both Halven (half fae half human).  Elena is asked by the fae council to help save the faes from a deadly virus that is wiping them out, she only has one week. Can she figure out her strengths, magic, who they can trust and can she work it all out in time to save them ?

Elena and Derek have a completely new world to adjust themselves to, I love their characters, their bond, strength and their exciting journey they made together.   I do love a good paranormal read, this is definitely my favourite genre.  Sadly I found that this one was really slow going and it took me quite some time to really get my teeth into.  However, once the story really got going I really enjoyed this read especially the action and suspense towards the end.     This book can be read as a standalone.
