Jonah Riley grew up on a small farm in Texas with his Mom, Dad, and sister. When his Dad is killed in a freak accident, him and his family have to sell the farm and move into Austin.
Now being the man of the family, Jonah has to work to help pay mounting medical bills for his sister as well as their daily living costs.
After taking a job at a local bar called Southern Nights, he meets Lacy Abernathy, a local singer. They have immediate chemistry, but she is totally closed off.
Through music, they grow closer to each other. Music has always been Lacy’s dream. Jonah soon realizes that he has talent as a singer as well as they start playing in a band together.
Unfortunately, competition for money and fame start to push them away from each other. Fame comes with a high cost and they struggle to be true to themselves and each other.
This was a great story. The characters were very realistic. It was nice to see the hot sexy, male as an average guy for a change.
I can’t wait to read more about this couple in book 2. I definitely recommend this book!
