Conflicted is a story about trying to find your way in life when everything around you is against you.

Mia Ryan thought she was finally going to have happiness in her life. A great boyfriend and doing well in school, she wasn’t prepared for disaster to strike.

Her boyfriend destroyed her life and left her. Not knowing what else to do to get her life back on track, she accepts a deal with the devil: she has to go undercover to dig up dirt on a company from her hometown.

On her first day, she meets the gorgeous Ethan Fitzgerald. He is just as closed off and mysterious as her. However, that doesn’t stop the sparks between them.

Ethan is going to fulfill his mother’s dying wish of bringing down his father’s company. He wants nothing to do with their illegal activity. Unknowingly he enlists the help of the same man who has hired Mia.

Neither of them knew whom to trust but both are aware that they are in extreme danger.

I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what happened next. This book was full of suspense. Mia and Ethan are a fantastic couple. They had sizzling chemistry.

I cannot wait to see what happens in book 2 because there are a lot of unanswered questions remaining.

M. M. Koenig was born and raised in Minnesota. She now lives in the Twin Cities area with her loving dog Marley. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors of Science in Sociology.
