Author Interview:
Hi Mary,
Thank you for asking me.
I started writing when my grandmother passed away. It was a way to heal the lose of her. Crossroads was my first book. I couldn’t stop writing. I never wanted to be an author. I believe it was a gift from my grandmother. After teaching for almost 20 years, I decided to become a full time author. And I love being an author.
Something Forever is book 3, but because of the emails letting me know that they’re not ready to say goodbye to the characters, I decided to write a spin-off, from Becky’s sister point of view. I’m going to bring Max, Jenna, Matthew, and Becky back. I already have the story in my head and I’m so excited to write it.
I’m a YA author, Crossroads Saga and From Gods. One day over lunch with my friends, they challenged me to write a NA novel. I based Jenna on me and Max on my husband, but of course I made up some things…haha
I have to say Stephenie Meyer. Twilight got be back to reading again. She based Twilight on her dream, and I based Crossroads from dreams I had in high school.
I just had one. I went to Kauai during the summer. It was not only beautiful, but peaceful as well. It was so relaxing. Hint…hint…spin-off…Something Amazing.
I’m always on a project. I just finished book 2 of From Gods, going to editor soon. Currently, I just started a spin-off for My Clarity, called My Serenity.
I don’t get a chance to read much, and it takes a long time for me to finish a book, but I’m currently reading Witch Hunter Olivia by Adam Kunz.
Thank you so much for taking time out of your schedule to talk to us and we look forward to reading more from you! :)
