Synopsis
Brandon's POV for Where I Need to Be
**Please note that this is a novella to Where I Need to Be and should be read after. Finding Spencer is through the male’s point of view and doesn’t cover every detail of the story.**
With a crazy ex-girlfriend who won’t leave him alone, Brandon Montgomery is determined to move on to the brunette hottie who caught his eye at the gym he owns. Things start out slowly with Brandon and Spencer, since neither one can find the courage to speak to one another until they both happen to be in Vegas for a weekend.
It’s not true. Things don’t always stay in Vegas, and lucky for Brandon, the girl he wants to be with lives in his town. Now if his crazy ex-girlfriend, Christy, would leave him alone, Brandon could move on to where he needs to be.
Brandon and Spencer’s story is already written. You know Spencer’s side of it. Now find out what Brandon was really thinking from the moment Spencer walked into Club 24.

Review
If you have not read Where I Need to Be, then it is highly recommended that you read it prior to reading Finding Spencer, as this novella is told from Brandon’s point of view and stops exactly where the first installment ends. In Finding Spencer, Brandon Montgomery is in a failing, one-sided relationship with a crazy girl named Christy. He constantly makes himself clear that he doesn't want to be with her any more, yet she just doesn't get the hint. In a partnership with his best friends Jason and Becca, the three own a chain of state-of-the-art clubs with sights set on adding more. As a means to let off steam from not getting through to Christy, he decides to work out because he sees a new brunette on the treadmill. The only problem is that he wants to make sure he is totally finished with Christy before he talks to the new girl. Christy has always thought he was cheating on her, so he doesn't want to do anything that might come back to haunt him later. I know, what a gentleman! After seeing the new girl several times at the gym, Brandon still hasn't approached her. A weekend trip to Vegas changes everything between the two when they spot each other in the airport walking toward the same flight. Brandon is headed to Vegas with Jason and Becca, and the girl, whom he later discovers is named Spencer Marshall, and her friend Ryan, just so happen to be headed that way, too. They see each other in a club, and after Brandon buys the ladies a drink, he and Spencer share a very intimate dance. The next day they see each other again in the high roller room while playing cards, and Spencer loses to Brandon. From then on, Brandon cannot get Spencer out of his head and plans to do what it takes to get to know her more. Everyone who knows me in the reading capacity knows how much I love Kimberly Knight’s B&S Series. Brandon Montgomery has always been one of my favorite male characters, and to get into his head in this novella was definitely a plus. I loved reading the witty banter between Jason, Becca, and Brandon that leads up to Brandon finally talking to Spencer. Of course, Christy’s role in this novella is more detailed since we get her relationship with Brandon prior to him meeting Spencer, and she is still just as manipulative as she is in Where I Need to Be. The reader just gets more of her stalker side. For a quick, great read for Kimberly Knight fans, this is a must and knowing that all three books in the series are releasing in Brandon’s point of view makes it that much better! |
