Author Interview
Hi Jennifer,

It's so nice to be able to talk to you! Congrats on your recent release Love Unclaimed.

What inspired you to write your first book?
I actually wrote my very first book when I was about seven, it was based on a dream I had about a little girl and her horse. No idea where it is now and don’t think I ever finished it.
Love Unclaimed is the first book I ever truly finished, out of the ten or so that I have started. It was also based on a dream I had.

Can you tell us about your recent release Love Unclaimed?
Audree is a country girl in love with her older brother’s best friend. It is a second chance romance. It follows Audree through her life and love of Gavin. While the two try to battle their feelings for one another they are still drawn to each other.

What did you do after you hit publish and did you keep checking the reviews? It must be nerve wrecking to hit that publish button.
I am so boring – I hit publish so late that I actually fell asleep. I did wake up the next morning and actually didn’t have a chance to check sales or reviews because I was running around doing errands. When I finally got home I do admit to checking and checking – just to update the hubby (and myself of course…lol) It was totally nerve wrecking, however, I have a great group of ladies who encourage each other to just DO IT! So I did…lol

Are the names of the characters special to you?
Honestly, no – only two – Audree’s last name is Edwards after my father Edward and Brook’s mother’s name is Layne after my mother Elaine.

Who designed your cover? I think it looks amazing :)
Thank you
Mindy Guerreiros actually found the picture on Pinterest and it was posted by the photographer, Vikki Marie Wiessner who I contacted and asked if I could use her photo. Thankfully she agreed. The couple in the photo are an actual married couple Dusty and Danielle Nourse. The cover was designed and prettied up by Renee Ericson.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Getting the story and pictures out of my head on paper (the screen) so they make sense to people outside of my head.

Describe in 5 words, your writing:
Honestly, I have no idea how to answer that question.

Name your ideal vacation.
A deserted island with family and friends, with Wifi for my Kindle to be charged and a little spot I can hide away in for a few hours to read and write in peace.

What are you currently reading?
Windows by Emily Minton

If you could write with another author who would it be and why?
Way too many too name. I love too many and would be honored to work with anyone of them.

Are you currently working on any projects?
I’m currently working on book 2 of the Red Truck Series. It will be Travis’ story. Everyone seemed to love him.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day and chatting with me. We look forward to reading more work from you.

Thank you so much for popping my interview and take over cherry ;)

I love my ladies at Hooked on Books <3
