Author Interview
Hi F L,

Your 2nd Book in the Black Hollywood Series, I Won't Give Up on You was recently released, Can you tell us a little about it?
I Won’t Give Up on You is the continuation of the story of Caston Black & Sabrina Bennett that was started in Have I Told You.  It picks off right where book 1 ends and answers many of the hanging questions.  Sabrina is dealing with the changes in her life from the accident and Caston is trying to help her through it.  Twists, turns, and unexpected events continue to pop up in their lives, but through it all they both vow to not give up on each other.

What is your favorite quote in I won't give up on you?
“You are my now and forever.  I can’t think of anyone else I’d want to spend my life with.  Have I told you I love you?  I do.  More than you’ll ever know, and I will continue to tell you every day until we’re parted by death.”

Are you currently working on any projects?
I am currently working on 2 projects.  The first one is the novella of Jake and Beth which are two characters from the Black Hollywood Series.  The other one is a standalone that has nothing to do with the BH Series.  It is still untitled at this time.

Who was your favorite character and why? or one you can relate to?
I have a deep love for Caston.  He is the full package.  Sweet, sexy, loving, caring, loyal, and did I mention sexy?

How do you come up with names for your characters?
I usually ask my oldest daughter’s opinion.  She comes up with some amazing names most of the time!

Is there a message in your novel you want readers to grasp?
If you have faith anything is possible.  Giving up should not be an option.

What's your favorite thing about being an author?
Definitely connecting with my readers.  Getting messages and notes from them make everything worth it!  I love them all!

Is there any traditions you do after finishing a book?
I try to start on the next one while the characters are fresh in my head.

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers?
Connect with your readers, make friends with bloggers, talk with other authors, and do not read bad reviews.  Everyone gets them, even New York Best Sellers, focus on the good reviews and use them to inspire you to continue on with your writing.  Also, write for yourself.  If you aren’t enjoying yourself it isn’t worth it.

Thank you so much for taking time out to take with us.

Author Bio

I am a mommy of two, wife to an amazing man, and full time employee. Life is crazy and busy!  I started writing again for a group of women I met last year. They brought back the passion for writing I haven’t seen since high school. Starting this process was tedious and nerve-wracking, but my amazing ladies and my fabulous husband have inspired me to take my love for writing to the next step.
